I’m obsessed with making my own cashew milk at home. So I was fortunate to receive a special delivery from the team at Mylky – the plant-based milk machine that’s a new kitchen must-have across Australia and all over the world.
I still love my no-strain cashew milk recipe, but if you’re someone who prefers a smoother texture in your oat, cashew, or almond milk, then the Mylky is going to become your daily bestie at home.
Why I love the Mylky plant-based milk machine
It’s fast and easy to use. You simply place your ingredients into the machine’s filter basket, add water to the jug, and press a button. The machine does all the hard work for you in just 60 seconds.

It’s healthier. You can make almost any kind of alternative milk, and the best part is that there are no nasties like preservatives, oils, additives and extra sugars.
It’s easy to clean. There aren’t a lot of components to the machine – jug, filter basket, lid/blender. The machine has a simple auto-clean function, but even giving it a quick rinse takes a few seconds.
It can be used the second you receive it. Once you unbox your Mylky, you’ll see there’s a starter booklet with a bunch of recipes. You’ll also receive an e-book with even more recipes to try! I tried their cashew milk recipe without the vanilla extract and added some cinnamon powder.

It’s versatile in the kitchen. On top of making plant-based milk in 60 seconds, you can use Mylky’s smaller jug to make small batches. Plus, the machine can also be used to froth up milk for drinks, and even mix up drinks like matcha or golden lattes – which I can’t wait to try!

Recipe: 1-minute Cashew Milk with the Mylky Machine
For my first batch, I decided to make a creamy cashew milk, adapted from Mylky’s booklet recipe:
Servings: Just over 1 litre
Prep time: 60 seconds!
Ingredients
1 cup x raw cashews
3-5 pitted dates for a touch of sweetness
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
A pinch of salt
Water (filled to the minimum line within the Mylky jug)
Instructions
Step 1: Fill up filter basket. Place the raw cashews, dates, cinnamon, and salt into the Mylky filter basket. Secure the basket to the lid.
Step 2: Just add water. Fill the jug with water to the minimum line.
Step 3: Push the button! Once you start the machine, it takes just one minute to produce a creamy, smooth texture – all thanks to the filter basket keeping all the pulp inside.
Storage: I recommend drinking your fresh plant-based milks within 3-4 days for freshness, since they don’t have any preservatives or emulsifiers, which is a good thing to me.
